ULTEN VALLEY'S CROSS COUNTRY SKI RUN

In Ulten Valley there is one of the most beautiful cross country ski runs of South Tyrol. The protracted argument on its usage has now come to an end. The aim of making a longer-term contract with the landowners has been achieved at last. However the cross country ski run's future is still not certain. Only by covering part of the track with artificial snow, perfect ski run conditions can be guaranteed from 1st November till 31st March. Freddy and Reinhold Schwienbacher, both cross country ski experts, commit theirselves to the maintenance as well as the extension of Ulten Valley's cross country ski run. Realizing this project would mean both perfect training conditions for Ulten Valley's professional cross country skiers and the possibility of pushing "gentle winter tourism".
